B. General Services Department — Solid Waste <br />Solid Waste Superintendent Joseph Cherry provided information regarding the proposed Solid <br />Waste Budget for fiscal year 2018-2019 which includes an enhanced solid waste enforcement program <br />designed to address the growing problem of litter, illegal dumping and the accumulation of trash on <br />private property. The proposed changes are in response to an identified need and desire to address <br />issues regarding roadside dumping and solid waste enforcement. The cost of the enhanced solid waste <br />enforcement program which includes reclassification of a Weighmaster to Solid Waste Enforcement <br />Officer along with a roadside litter crew is $75,047.00. The implementation of this program will require <br />an increase in the Solid Waste Fee of $5.50. No action was taken. <br />III. ADJOURNMENT <br />With no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Oldham moved to adjourn <br />the meeting.
