Bgck 23 tko; l <br />Mr. Heuts discussed the recent Caterpillar project that included pre- construction <br />grading, training and the paving of Clyde Rhyne Drive. Lee County provided $900,000 for site <br />grading, a commitment for the paving of Clyde Rhyne Drive and a training facility for CCCC to <br />provide required training. <br />Mr. Heuts discussed the recent Allied Crawford Steel project that was looking at the old <br />Redman Building located in southern Lee County. The public hearing advertised for the <br />County was pulled prior to the meeting and never discussed publically by the Board of <br />Commissioners. The City of Sanford approved an application to the Rural Center for $480,000 <br />for said project. <br />A project with Frontier Spinning Mills was discussed where the company applied to <br />Golden Leaf for a $1 million grant for special built pallets. The County will lease the pallets to <br />Frontier Spinning over a 5 -year period. <br />Mr. Mann adjourned the meeting. <br />Commissioner Parks moved to adjourn the meeting on behalf of the Lee County Board <br />of Commissioners. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal and Reives <br />Chairman Shook ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned at 8:05 p.m. /l <br />I <br />L 4 in6a A.
