A. <br />_ Information <br />Meeting Date: January 18, 2011 XX Action Item <br />Consent Agenda <br />l J <br />SUBJECT Proposed Legislative Goals and Policy Statements <br />DEPARTMENT Governing Body <br />CONTACT PERSON Commissioner Richard Hayes or County Manager John Crumpton <br />REQUEST Discussion and Approval of Legislative Goals and Policy Statements <br />SUMMARY The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners has <br />provided Association Policy Statements and proposed legislative <br />goals for the January 20 -21 Legislative Goals Conference. This <br />package represents work of more than 300 County Commissioners, <br />county staff, and NCACC staff. Fifty -three (53) goals have been <br />addressed and Commissioner Hayes, Lee County's Legislative <br />representative, would like input from the Board on how to vote <br />during the upcoming conference. <br />BUDGET IMPACT N/A <br />ATTACHMENT(S) Goals and Association Policy Statements <br />PUBLIC HEARING No <br />PRIOR BOARD ACTION N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION Discuss goals and statements and provide Commissioner Hayes <br />with voting instructions for the conference. <br />CJ <br />
