Boca 23 o'u 900 <br />LEE COUNTY <br />Committed Today for a Better Tomorrow <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JANUARY 18, 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 6 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. Hayes, <br />Larry "Doc' Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Linda A. Shook. <br />Commissioner James K. Womack, Jr. was out of town on a church related mission trip and was <br />excused from the meeting. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. Chairman Shook requested that the <br />Budget Amendment listed on the Consent Agenda be moved to Old Business. She also pulled <br />discussion of non - profit agency funding until the February 7, 2011 regular meeting. Commissioner <br />Reives moved to approve the Consent Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, and Shook <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Womack <br />items: <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Hayes moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />• Minutes from the January 3, 2011 regular meeting; <br />• Minutes from the January 6, 2011 public informational meeting in reference to the <br />revised Animal Control Ordinance held at the Deep River Elementary School, <br />and <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for December 2010 (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />
