Joyce responded that the company currently <br /> employs about 400 people in Sanford. At this time, Chair Darlymple opened the <br /> public hearing for comment. No one spoke in favor or against the proposed project. <br /> Chair Dalrymple closed the public hearing. <br /> B. Public hearing on a proposed economic development project with Project <br /> Temperature <br /> The Board next held a public hearing on a proposed economic development <br /> incentive for Project Temperature. SAGA Economic Development Executive <br /> Director Bob Joyce stated that the project consists of building construction and the <br /> purchase of machinery and equipment in the amount of$22,500,000 in taxable <br /> investment in Lee County, with the County sharing up to $306,638 of the cost of the <br /> project with revenues from the County's General Fund over the seven year life of <br /> the project. The project is estimated to create at least 109 new jobs with an average <br /> annual wage of$34,954. Notice of the public hearing was published in The Sanford <br /> Herald on February 9, 2018. At this time, Chair Darlymple opened the public <br /> hearing for comment. No one spoke in favor or against the proposed project. Chair <br /> Dalrymple closed the public hearing. <br /> C. Public hearing on a proposed economic development project with Project Eagle. <br /> The Board next held a public hearing on a proposed economic development <br /> incentive for Project Eagle. SAGA Economic Development Executive Director Bob <br /> Joyce stated that the project consists of building renovations and the purchase of <br /> machinery and equipment in the amount of$29,500,000 in taxable investment in <br /> Lee County, with the County sharing up to $346,246 of the cost of the project with <br /> revenues from the County General Fund over the five year life of the project. The <br /> project is estimated to create at least 40 new jobs with an average annual wage of <br /> $41,526. Notice of public hearing was published in The Sanford Herald on February <br /> 9, 2018. At this time, Chair Dalrymple opened the public hearing for comment. No <br /> one spoke in favor or against the proposed project. Chair Dalrymple closed the <br /> public hearing. <br /> IV. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br /> Pursuant to General Statute § 152A-52.1, Chair Dalrymple opened the floor for <br /> Public Comments.
