Inactive Members <br />Appointed members shall be considered inactive when they miss more than two (2) consecutive <br />meetings without notification to the Cone nittee Chairperson or Staff Office of significant <br />reasons why they were unable to attend the meetings. <br />Section 3. Removal of Members <br />Members of the Committee may be removed in accordance with G.S. 14313-16: which gives the <br />chairperson the authority to remove members for malfeasance or nonfeasance. <br />Section 4. Vacancies <br />Vacancies in membership of the Committee shall be filled by the original appointing authority <br />for the remainder of the unexpired term. <br />Section 5. Ex- Officio Members <br />Any member in this category will be exempt from attendance requirements and will not have <br />voting rights. They may be included on the Committee as an important resource based on the <br />position or knowledge that they hold. <br />Section 6. Terms of Membership <br />Members shall be appointed for one (1) year terms. <br />Section 7: Designated Representative <br />An absent member may request approval from the Chairperson to name a replacement <br />representative having full voting rights. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />OFFICERS <br />Section 1. Named <br />The Officers of the Committee shall consist of a Chairperson, a Vice - Chairperson, and a <br />Secretary. <br />
