NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />JANUARY 3, 2011 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North <br />Carolina, convened at 3 p.m. in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 <br />Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were Richard B. Hayes, <br />Larry "Doc' Oldham, Charles T. Parks, Robert T. Reives, Linda A. Shook, and James K. Womack, Jr. <br />Commissioner Nathan E. Paschal was in the hospital and absent from the meeting. <br />Chairman Shook called the meeting to order and the following business was transacted: <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle delivered the invocation. <br />The pledge of allegiance was recited. <br />The Board considered additions /changes to the Agenda. County Manager John Crumpton <br />asked the Board to add a request to the Consent Agenda from the Robert E. Lee Historical Society to <br />fly General Lee's flag at the Lee County Courthouse on January 19, 2011. Commissioner Womack <br />asked that Item Il. I. on the Consent Agenda — bids for fire detection system for the Suzanne Reeves <br />Library - be placed under New Business for further discussion. With no additional changes made, <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Agenda as amended. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />items: <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Consent Agenda which consisted of the following <br />Minutes from the December 6, 2010 closed session meeting; <br />Minutes from the December 6, 2010 regular meeting; <br />• Nomination to the Triangle J Advisory Council on Aging; <br />Tax Releases and Refunds for November 2010 (copy attached); <br />Budget Amendment # 01/03/11/08 (copy attached); <br />
