'0 PACE 2 <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE GOVERNING BODY <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DISTRICT NO. 1 <br />JANUARY 26, 2005 <br />A meeting of the governing body of the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. I was <br />held in the Commissioners' Room, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillerest Drive, Sanford, <br />North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Robert H. Brown, <br />Herbert A. Hicks, Jerry M. Lemmond, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, and Amy L. Stevens. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and Clerk to the Board Gaynell M. Lee acted as Secretary of the <br />meeting. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to approve the agenda as printed. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Lemmond moved to approve the consent agenda as printed, which consisted <br />of the following matters: <br />Minutes from the May 3, 2004 closed session meeting <br />Minutes from the September 23, 2004 regular meeting <br />Minutes from the December 15, 2004 regular meeting <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Brown, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered delinquent water accounts. Public Works Director Kenny Cole <br />presented the Board with a flow chart showing the breakdown of the total customer base, a flow <br />chart showing the most recent cutoff list from the City of Sanford on past due accounts and a copy <br />of the User Agreement signed by District water customers. After some discussion, the Board asked <br />Mr. Cole to contact the City and obtain a revised up -to -date list of delinquent water customers and <br />verify the extremely high overdue accounts. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle and County Manager <br />David Smitherman were asked to decide what will be done to attempt and collect these delinquent <br />
