County Manager William Cowan discussed with the Board the three options presented by Public Works Director Kenny Cole at the recent Planning Retreat for the Phase III project. After much discussion, Commissioner Stevens moved that a letter be sent to all property owners who have paid the $125.00 connection tap fee updating them on the status of the project and to refund their $125.00 if requested. The motion also stated that if property owners wished to tap onto the system later, they would have to pay the $950.00 tap fee. Commissioner Adams moved to go into closed session to establish the position to be taken in negotiating the amount of compensation and other material terms of a proposed employment contract with the Timmons Group.
