Mr. Roop said that he felt it would probably take until July to fully
establish the reasons because wanner weather brings on different operatives in the water
system. He told the Board that the study was ongoing and its working within the climate
and by the end of July he should have a good handle on the amount of flushing that
should be occurring. Mr. Roop answered questions from Board members and restated
that his report is a work -in- process. He also stated that he receives a monthly report from
the City of Sanford that he passes on to Public Works Director Kenny Cole.
The Board considered an Ordinance that was adopted at the last meeting
concerning civil penalties in mandatory water taps. Public Works Director Kenny Cole
discussed various sections of the ordinance and answered questions from Board
members. After much discussion, Mr. Cole was asked to revise the ordinance and bring
it back to the Board at the nest meeting for discussion and approval.
With no further business to come before the Lee County Water and Sewer District
No. 1 Authority, Chairman Hincks moved to adjourn the Lee County Water and Sewer
District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows:
Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens
Nay: None
at r W4
Z.
The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted
ed in keeping with the motion.
t.m
ly, and the meeting
Lee, Clerk
NORTH CARvi_ifNiA, I_EF.
