0 <br />J D D <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainuan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The board discussed rate increases for water and maintenance with the City of <br />Sanford. Public Works Director Kenny Cole told the board that the City of Sanford had <br />sent a letter stating that it was necessary for them to adjust water and sewer rates to offset <br />rising operational costs and major capital expenditures which will be required over the <br />next several years. The letter stated that the proposed adjustment for FY 2003 -04 for <br />water would increase from the current rate of 52.36 per one thousand gallons to 52.53 per <br />one thousand gallons. After much discussion, Chairman I lincks moved that a committee <br />made up of County Manager William Cowan, Public Works Director Kenny Cole, <br />Commissioner Bert Matthews and Commissioner Robert Reives to work with city <br />representatives to come up with a workable plan and report to the board. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: . <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Lee County Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1, Commissioner Adams moved to adjourn the Water and Sewer District No. <br />I meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Stevens <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainuan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned in keeping with the motion. <br />Herbert A.
