A. Minutes from the January 2, 2018 Regular Meeting. <br />B. Tax Release and Refund Report for December 2017. <br />C. Minutes from the January 2, 2018 Closed Session Meeting. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. <br />III. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Pursuant to General Statute § 152A-52.1, Chair Dalrymple opened the floor for <br />Public Comments. No one signed up to speak during the public comments portion of <br />the meeting. <br />IV. OLD BUSINESS <br />A. Discussion Regarding Commissioner's Retreat Taking Place January 25-26, 2018 <br />The Board reviewed the agenda for the upcoming Board of Commissioner's <br />Planning Retreat taking place January 25-26, 2018 at the San Lee Nature Center located <br />at 760 Pumping Station Road, Sanford, NC 27330. No action was taken. <br />V. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Consideration of Upgrade to KRONOS System <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter requested the Board's approval of an upgrade to the <br />KRONOS timekeeping system. Lee County installed and started using KRONOS <br />Workforce Central for timekeeping in FY 2007-2008. The system was upgraded in FY <br />2012-2013. The time has come for the system to be upgraded again to make sure that the <br />County is in compliance with FLSA rules and to ensure that the County is able to make an <br />effective use of the system. The cost of the upgrade will not exceed $30,375.00. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the Statement of Work for the upgrade to the <br />KRONOS timekeeping system, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried. <br />B. Discussion of Property Tax Interests and Inclement Weather <br />County Manager John Crumpton provided the Board with information regarding <br />issues surrounding late tax payments and closing of the County offices due to inclement <br />weather on January 4 and 5, 2018. January 5 was the last day to pay property taxes <br />without interest accruing on the property tax bills. Due to the tax office being closed on <br />Page 214 <br />
