MANAGER'S REPORTS <br />A. November 2017 Financial Report <br />Finance Director Lisa Minter presented the November 2017 Financial Report. No <br />action was taken. <br />County Manager John Crumpton provided an update on the Colon Road Water <br />Project stating that the engineer has all permits in hand and the request for proposals is <br />going out to bid and should come back in February. The anticipated project completion <br />date is April 1, 2018. <br />VII. COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS <br />VIII. CLOSED SESSION <br />Commissioner Oldham moved to go into Closed Session per North Carolina <br />General Statute Section 143-318.11(a)(3) to consult with the County Attorney to <br />preserve the attorney-client privilege in Discussion of the Matter of Little River, LLC v. <br />Lee County and Section 143-318.11(a)(5) to discuss the acquisition of real property. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried and the Board went into Closed Session. <br />Upon return from Closed Session, Commissioner Oldham moved to direct staff to <br />seek a petition of discretionary review in the matter of Little River, LLC vs. Lee County <br />Board of Adjustments. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Knecht, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Dodson <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried. <br />Chair Dalrymple provided a statement on behalf of the Board in support of the local <br />authority of the Lee County Board of Adjustment and the decision of the Lee County <br />Page 415 <br />
