002 <br />BNK V PjGE 474 <br />• purchase order to American Geographies for orthophotos of area 2 in the <br />amount of $26,145.00 <br />• capital project ordinance for the proposed new Forestry building in the <br />amount of $150,000 (copy attached) <br />• approval to receive an allocation of $15,240.00 from the North Carolina <br />Department of Transportation, Public Transportation and Rail Division, for <br />COLTS <br />• purchase order to CY Industries in the amount of $1,339.00 for a new laserjet <br />printer for the Tax Office <br />• resolution in support of proposed State bond issues for water, sewer and <br />natural gas <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Mansfield, Matthews, Morctz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a lease purchase agreement between the West Sanford <br />Volunteer Fire Department and United Financial of North Carolina, Inc. to purchase a <br />new fire truck. Various Board members had questions concerning the current tax rate for <br />the district. Finance Director Lisa Minter and West Sanford Fire Department Chief <br />Tommy Smith answered questions from the Board concerning this matter. After some <br />discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the lease purchase agreement as <br />presented. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Mansfield, Matthews, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: Moretz <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to one vote. <br />Chairperson Matthews presented an award for "Achievement for Excellence in <br />Financial Reporting" to Finance Director Lisa Minter. <br />The Board considered an agreement between the County of Lee and Sprint to <br />implement the Enhanced 911 Emergency Telephone Service in Lee County. Sprint <br />representative Belinda Gurkins was present, along with 911 Communications Supervisor <br />Johnny Sellars. Mr. Sellars told the Board the new 911 system will be in place by <br />January 21, 1999. After further discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to approve the <br />agreement between the County of Lee and Sprint. Commissioner Moretz seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />2 <br />
