Commissioner Cox seconded the motion, and <br />upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a report from County Manager William Cowan concerning a <br />Census Count Committee survey. He reported on what Chatham, Harnett, Randolph , <br />Moore and Johnston Counties have done with their committees to date. Chairperson <br />Matthews recommended the committee be comprised of one representative each from the <br />Broadway, Lemon Springs, Pocket and Deep River Community; one from the hispanic <br />community, two representatives appointed by the City of Sanford and one representative <br />appointed from the Town of Broadway. <br />Chairperson Matthews moved that the North Carolina Department of <br />Transportation be asked to complete a traffic study of Big Springs Road. Commissioner <br />Gamer seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to go into the Lee County Water & Sewer District <br />meeting. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />After completing business in the Water & Sewer District meeting, Commissioner <br />Cox moved to adjourn the Water & Sewer meeting. Commissioner Paschal seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairperson Matthews moved to go into closed session to instruct staff on the <br />position to be taken by the County in negotiating the price and other material terms of <br />4 <br />
