BOOK 17 PACE $07 <br />Mrs. Thompson outlined the second rezoning request by Larry K. Allen for <br />Homes By Vanderbuilt, to rezone from Residential Restricted District to Highway <br />Commercial Conditional Use District, approximately 30 acres of land on the west side <br />of Jefferson Davis Highway for a Manufactured Housing Sales Center. <br />Mr. Tom Van De Riet, President of Homes By Vanderbuilt was sworn in by <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. Mr. Van De Riet told the Boards lie wanted to bring <br />his manufactured housing sales center into compliance with county zoning <br />regulations. <br />Mrs. Phyllis Venrick of 3216 Jefferson Davis Highway had various questions <br />concerning the rezoning request. She asked the Board to please limit what is placed <br />on the property if the request is approved. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to close the public hearings. Commissioner <br />Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairperson Matthews called the meeting back to order to consider a <br />resolution to transfer the cable television franchise from Charter Communications to <br />Paul G. Allen. Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the resolution. <br />Commissioner Mansfield seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Cox <br />moved to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon <br />a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the <br />meeting adjourned. <br />7 <br />
