AOL <br />6 <br />BOOK 17 WE 506 <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />County Attorney K. R. Hoyle discussed the resolution with the Board. <br />No one spoke for or against the transfer of ownership. <br />Commissioner Moretz moved to close the public hearing. Commissioner <br />Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Cox moved to hold joint public hearings with the Planning <br />Board. Commissioner Moretz seconded the motion, and upon a vole, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Cox, Garner, Mansfield, Matthews, Moretz, Paschal and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairperson ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Community Development Director Reggie Scales outlined for the Boards the <br />public hearing to consider establishing a moratorium on the granting of amendments <br />to the zoning map and ordinance to allow for the creation of new or additional <br />Residential Agricultural 50/40 Districts or Residential Agricultural 50/40 Conditional <br />Use districts. The 90 day moratorium would allow the Lee County Planning Board to <br />study all of the residential zoning districts and classifications and applicable <br />subdivision regulations. <br />No one spoke for or against establishing a moratorium. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first rezoning petition by John Gary <br />Batchelor to rezone from Residential Restricted District to Highway Commercial <br />District, approximately 37.17 acres of land at 3644 Highway 87 South. <br />Mr. Gary Batchelor of 401 Shaddox Drive, New Hill, owner of the property, <br />spoke in favor of the request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />6 <br />
