0 r <br />BOOK 1 AGE 526 0 0 5 <br />• Tax Administrator <br />• Finance Officer <br />• Any employee who handles $ 100.00 or more at any one time. <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to approve bonds as recommended by the County Attorney. <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Matthews asked the <br />Board to consider a letter concerning the speed limit on Center Church Road. Chairman <br />I-lincks asked the Board to consider the scheduling of a work session in January, and <br />authority to allow the Chairman to make committee assignments. Commissioner Garner <br />moved to approve the addition of the above items to the agenda. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted of <br />the following items: <br />• Minutes of the November 23, 1998 meeting <br />• Pepsi/NC Mentoring Initiative grant application for Youth Services <br />• Resolution for Senior Services to apply for and accept SFY 1998-99 Work First <br />Transitional/Employment Transportation Assistance Funds <br />• Resolution with Wachovia Bank for deposits and authorization to draw checks <br />Commissioner Adams seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board heard a presentation from Dixon, Odom & Co. representative Donarene <br />Steele concerning the County's 1998 audited financial statements. <br />The Board heard a presentation from Community Development Director Reggie <br />Scales and Planner Ed Salem concerning the proposed Sanford-Lee County 2020 Land Use <br />Plan. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Advisory Committee for Planning <br />Services between the City of Sanford and Lee County.
