o' 1 <br />6u0K V Y'GF 534 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chairman Hincks recessed the regular meeting and opened the Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1 meeting. After completing business in the Water and Sewer District No. <br />1 meeting, Chainnan Hincks closed this portion of the meeting and reopened the <br />regular meeting for public hearings that had been advertised for this date and time. <br />Planner Ron Satterfield outlined for the Commissioners and Planning Board the <br />first petition for Lynwood Coombs to rezone from Residential Mixed District to <br />Highway Commercial Conditional Use District, 1.04 acres of land at 1426 Pine Forest <br />Road for an automobile repair shop. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle outlined the <br />procedures for a Conditional Use Hearing and swore individuals in that wished to <br />speak. The following spoke in favor of the rezoning petition: <br />Lynwood Coombs, 276 Christine Lane, Cameron <br />Donna Daniels, 150 McKeithan Avenue, Vass <br />Tom Daleke, 150 McKeithan Avenue, Vass <br />Robert Bradham, 315 Edgewater Drive, Broadway <br />Milta Lopez, 307 Christine Lane, Cameron <br />Robert Hall, 1531 Hillmon Grove Church Road, Cameron <br />Mona Baker, 469 Lakeview Drive, Cameron <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mr. Satterfield outlined the second rezoning petition by Timothy Glasson to <br />rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial Conditional Use <br />District, approximately 5 acres of land at 3220 Hickory House Road for a cabinet shop <br />and tool supply company. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle swore in Mr. Glasson who <br />spoke in favor of his rezoning request. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Mr. Satterfield outlined the third and final petition by Pace Oil Co., Inc. to <br />rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial District, <br />approximately 41.17 acres of land on US 15-501, Hwy. 87 North (Hawkins Avenue). <br />Mr. Dick Barnes from Golden Triad Properties in Winston Salem spoke in favor of the <br />petition and outlined for the Boards what the property could be used for. <br />Mr. Roger Page of 144 Tifton Street, Advance, North Carolina, owner of the <br />property, spoke in favor of the rezoning request. <br />Mr. Roy Jernigan of 4519 Hawkins Avenue and Mrs. Patricia Porter of 411 W. <br />Chisholm Street spoke in opposition to the request. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearings. <br />4 <br />
