Economic Development Director Bob Heuts told the Board the <br />Infrastructure Committee of the Lee County Economic Development Corporation <br />recommends the County hire the engineering firm of Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates to <br />develop a master plan study for the expansion of the Lee County Industrial Park. He <br />explained to the Board that the master plan process would be the initial step to evaluate <br />potential property in the northern area of Lee County. Commissioner Garner joined the <br />meeting during further discussion of this matter. Commissioner Matthews moved that a <br />master plan study by Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates in the amount of $20,000 be <br />approved. Commissioner Garner seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a business personal property audit for Mr. Troy Willett, <br />owner of Willett Logging. Tax Administrator Roger Kelley told the Board an audit of <br />this business was completed and a notification letter was mailed October 22, 1998 to <br />Mr. Willett and his bookkeeper. A penalty of $4,407.02 for Lee County and $280.89 <br />for the Cape Fear Fire District had been discovered. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Paschal moved to table the matter until the January 4, 1999 meeting. <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />2 <br />
