If approved the grant would be used to construct the Tramway School Park, which would be used to help with the growing demand of quality competition athletic fields. A local match of $250,000 from the County will be required if the grant is approved. After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to approve the grant application. Commissioner Paschal seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Reives asked Mr. Payne to supply him with any existing contracts and any future contracts between the Board of Education and Parks and Recreation. The Board heard a presentation concerning the new telephone system currently being installed at the Government Center. Information Services Director Lesa Price outlined for the Board some of the features of the new system and asked them to consider allowing departments to use an "automated attendant" as one of these features. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the use of an "automated attendant."
