If approved the grant would <br />be used to construct the Tramway School Park, which would be used to help with the <br />growing demand of quality competition athletic fields. A local match of $250,000 from <br />the County will be required if the grant is approved. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the grant application. Commissioner Paschal <br />seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives asked Mr. Payne to supply him with any existing contracts and any <br />future contracts between the Board of Education and Parks and Recreation. <br />The Board heard a presentation concerning the new telephone system currently <br />being installed at the Government Center. Information Services Director Lesa Price <br />outlined for the Board some of the features of the new system and asked them to consider <br />allowing departments to use an "automated attendant" as one of these features. After <br />some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to approve the use of an "automated <br />attendant." Commissioner SaUls seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />5 <br />
