0 BOOK V P.AGF 5 37 002 <br />Commissioner Reives seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Gamer, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a business personal property audit for Mr. Troy Willett, <br />owner of Willett Logging. Mr. Willett was asking the Board to waive penalties assessed <br />in the amount of S4,687.91 assessed on his recent audit. Tax Administrator Roger Kelley <br />told the Board he had notified Mr. Willett and Mr. Willett's bookkeeper in reference to <br />the meeting. Neither Mr. Willett nor his bookkeeper were present. Chairman Hincks <br />moved to accept the recommendation of the Tax Administrator to deny the request. <br />Commissioner Sauls seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hincks, Paschal and SaLlls <br />Nay: Gamer, Matthews and Reives <br />The motion resulted in a tie vote and Chairnian Hincks told the Board it would be <br />discussed again after Commissioner Adams joined the meeting. <br />The Board considered a resolution granting approval for a financing arrangement <br />by the Sanford-Lee County Airport Authority. Airport Authority Chairman Buddy Keller <br />and Hangar Chairman Joe McDonald told the Board the Airport Authority wished to <br />construct 120 new hangars at the new airport facility. The Airport Authority must receive <br />written approval from the County of Lee and the City of Sanford to pledge the property of <br />the Airport Authority as security for this project. Public comments were received from <br />Mr. Robert Bradham of 315 Edgewater Drive, Broadway. After some discussion, <br />Commissioner Gamer moved to approve the following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION' TO GRANT THE APPROVAL OF <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE FOR <br />THE SANFORD-LEE COUNTY REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY <br />TO ENTER INTO A FINANCING ARRANGEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF HANGARS AT THE AIRPORT <br />WHEREAS, the Sanford-Lee County Regional Airport Authority was created by <br />Act of the Legislature on the 9" day of July, 1992; and <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with said Legislation, the Sanford-Lee County <br />Regional Airport Authority must obtain the prior written approval of the County of Lee in <br />order to enter into contracts which pledge the property of the Airport Authority as <br />security for any loan; and <br />2 <br />
