5 <br />BOOK 17 ?Na <br />401 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />O <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MARCH 8, 1999 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillcrest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, F. <br />Hubert Garner, Herbert A. Hincks, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. <br />Reives and John 1. Sauls. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Commissioner John Sauls delivered the invocation. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. Commissioner Sauls moved to <br />approve the agenda as presented. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the consent agenda, which consisted of <br />the following items: <br />• Minutes of the February 11, 1999 joint meeting with the Lee County Board <br />of Education <br />• Minutes of the February 15, 1999 regular meeting <br />Renewal maintenance contract between Senior Services and Reids <br />Maintenance Service <br />• Bids for replacement roof at the W. B. Wicker gym <br />• Resolution to keep the environmental health section in the Lee County Health <br />Department together under the Division of Health and Human Services <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />
