0 0 <br />BOOK 17 PAGE 603 01 O <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING ORDINANCE <br />OF LEE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA <br />BE IT ORDAINED, by the Board of Commissioners of Lee County, North Carolina that the <br />zoning ordinance be, and it hereby is, amended as follows: <br />Section 1. Amend Article V, Establishment of Districts, Section 1. District Names by <br />deleting the RA-80/65, RA-80/65 CU, RA-50/40, RA-50/40 CU, RA-35/30, RA-35/30 CU, RR- <br />45/40, RR-45/40 CU, RR-35/30, RR-35/30 CU, RR-15, RR-15 CU, RM-45/40, RM-45/40 CU, <br />RM-35/30, RM- 35/30 CU, RM-15, RM-15 CU zoning designations and adding the RA <br />Conservation and RA Conservation CU zoning designations. <br />Section 2. Amend Article VII, District Regulations, Section 1 Intent of Zoning District <br />where it is hereby repealed in its entirety and shall hereinafter read as follows: <br />RA-C, Residential Agricultural Conservation District: The purpose of this district is to <br />provide a place for very low residential uses. Land use in this district is primarily agrarian and <br />rural. This district is applied to promote water quality and other environmental issues. <br />RA-C CU, Residential Agricultural Conservation Conditional Use District: Identical to the <br />Residential Agricultural Conservation District except that a Conditional Use Permit is required <br />as a prerequisite to any use or development as provided in this chapter. <br />RA, Residential Agricultural District. The purpose of this district is to provide a place for <br />agricultural and very low-density residential uses. Land uses in this district are primarily <br />agrarian and rural. Requests for rezoning to a higher intensity use district must demonstrate that <br />the proposed development would be in accordance with the Lee County Land Use Plan. <br />RA-CU, Residential Agricultural Conditional Use District. Identical to the Residential <br />Agricultural District except that a Conditional Use Permit is required as a prerequisite to any use <br />or development as provided in this chapter. <br />RR, Residential Restricted District. The purpose of this district is to provide a place for low <br />density single-family residential areas (site built homes where water and sewer needs are met by <br />individual wells and septic tanks. This district is primarily suburban in character. Requests for <br />rezoning to a higher intensity use district must demonstrate that the proposed development will <br />be adequately provided with water and sewer services to specifications approved by the County <br />Sanitarian and the N. C. Department of Environment, Health, and Natural Resources. <br />RR-CU, Residential Restricted Conditional Use District. Identical to the Residential <br />Restricted District except that a Conditional Use Permit is required as a prerequisite to any use or <br />development as provided in this chapter. <br />
