® 0 9 5
BOOK 17 P.-GE 67.2
Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing and opened the joint public hearing with the
Planning Board.
Planner Althea Thompson told the Board that American Cyanamid Company, a
subsidiary of Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines, wanted to rezone approximately 125 acres of
land on the east side of Hawkins Avenue (property formerly known as the "Clark Dairy
Farm") from Residential Agricultural District to Light Industrial District. If approved,
this property would serve as a new entrance to the company's existing manufacturing
facilities and could be developed in the future for light industrial purposes.
Mr. John Machulski, Facilities Manager of Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines spoke in
favor of the rezoning request.
No one spoke in opposition to the request.
There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Paschal
moved to adjourn the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows:
Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls
Nay: None
The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting
adjourned in keeping with the motion.
- 2~~ - - - - -
Herbert A. Hincks, Chairman
5
