After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to ask the Cooperative <br />Extension Service to schedule a ground breaking ceremony and open house when the <br />building is completed, and for all expenses to come out of the Cooperative Extension <br />Service budget. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered changing the meeting date for the second meeting in June. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to change the meeting from June 21" to June 28's at 3:00 <br />p.m. and to hold joint public hearings immediately following the 3:00 p.m. meeting at the <br />Government Center. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to a special "Youth Council" that will be <br />working with the Mid-Carolina Workforce Development Board. This special council will <br />provide expertise in youth policy and assist the Mid-Carolina Workforce Development <br />Board in various other ways. Commissioner Garner nominated Randell Woodruff and <br />Bill Carter to serve. Commissioner Adams moved to close the nominations.
