003 <br />B009 17 PACE 746 <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a request from Central Carolina Community College <br />(CCCC) to consider a capital construction bond package for universities and <br />community colleges. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that Dr. Marvin <br />Joyner, President of CCCC was asking the Board to endorse a resolution of support to <br />the legislative delegation for this capital construction bond package. After some <br />discussion, Commissioner Matthews moved to approve a resolution of support. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to recess the meeting and conduct a public <br />hearing that had been advertised for this date and time. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Satds <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Planner Ron Satterfield told the Board that a public hearing had been scheduled <br />to hear comments concerning a proposed amendment to the Lee County Zoning <br />Ordinance, to amend Section 1, Article Vlll of the Dimensional Requirements to repeal <br />the table of Area and Yard Requirements in its entirety and replace with a new table, <br />which would establish new minimum lot sizes. <br />Chairman Elincks opened the public hearing. No one spoke for or against the <br />the amendment. <br />Reuben Dowdy of 2014 St. Andrews Church Road had questions concerning the <br />proposed changes. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to go into the Lee County Water and Sewer <br />District No. 1 meeting.
