Commissioner Garner nominated David Siler for this vacancy. <br />Commissioner Adams moved that the nominations be closed. Senator William Station, representing Martin Marietta Aggregates, told the <br />Board that Martin Marietta wished to abandon a section of Brice Coggins Road (SR <br />1156) beginning at the south side of the CSX railroad right-of-way near Minter School <br />Road (SR 1149) and ending approximately 2300 feet northwest. He told the Board that <br />Marlin Marietta is the sole owner of all property in the section petitioned for <br />abandonment. Martin Marietta representatives Paxton Badham and John Long spoke in <br />favor of the abandonment. They told the Board that they are working closely with the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation on this project. A resolution was <br />2 <br />
