t t`l l <br />Bcox 17 PAGE 778 <br />• Contract for payment of costs between Senior Services and Central Carolina <br />Community College for the Job Training Partnership Act <br />• Purchase requisition to Keystone Information Systems in the amount of <br />$29,877 for the annual re-license fees of various software packages <br />• Blanket food purchase orders for the Sheriffs Department to various <br />vendors <br />• Resolution of appreciation for the Clerk to the Board (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives read aloud the resolution to Clerk to the Board Gaynell <br />Lee. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Mid-Carolina Work Force <br />Development Board. Commissioner Garner nominated David Siler for this vacancy. <br />Commissioner Adams moved that the nominations be closed. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to accept the nomination of David Siler to the Mid- <br />Carolina Work Force Development Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the abandonment of a portion of Bruce Coggins Road <br />(SR t 156). Senator William Station, representing Martin Marietta Aggregates, told the <br />Board that Martin Marietta wished to abandon a section of Brice Coggins Road (SR <br />1156) beginning at the south side of the CSX railroad right-of-way near Minter School <br />Road (SR 1149) and ending approximately 2300 feet northwest. He told the Board that <br />Marlin Marietta is the sole owner of all property in the section petitioned for <br />abandonment. Martin Marietta representatives Paxton Badham and John Long spoke in <br />favor of the abandonment. They told the Board that they are working closely with the <br />North Carolina Department of Transportation on this project. A resolution was <br />2 <br />
