()nL, B,V 17 mF 81-6 Commissioner Reives made a motion to extend the Board's sympathy to the wife and parents of Randy Newsome who was killed in a car accident on August 20, 1999. Randy was an employee of the Lee County Public Works Department. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Commissioner Adams moved to go into the Lee County Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Upon completing business in the Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting, Commissioner Garner moved to adjourn the Water and Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls Nay: None The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. Chairman Hincks recessed the meeting until 7:00 p.m. to convene at Courtroom No. 4 at the Lee County Courthouse. Upon returning at 7:00 p.m., all members being present, the meeting resumed. Chairman Hincks opened the public hearing which had been advertised for this date and time. Althea Thompson, Planner, summarized the rezoning petition submitted by Randall Godfrey and Larry Rives to rezone .927 acres of land located at the corner of Bruce Coggins and Tramway Road from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial District. Randall Godfrey of 2311 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Spoke in favor of the rezoning request. Those speaking in opposition of the request were: Maxine Yarborough, 163 Bruce Coggins Road; Francena Cole, 2916 Tramway Road; Norbet Johnson, 515 Bruce Coggins Road, and Diane Lett Thomas, Bruce Coggins Road. Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. 9
