BOOK 17 P1GF $3rx <br />LEE COUNTY <br />MATCHING GWkNTS POLICY <br />FOR <br />LEE COUNTY SENIOR SERVICES <br />1. The Executive Director of Lee County Senior Services (LCSS) may request funds <br />from the matching Grants Fund from the Lee County Senior Services Advisory Board <br />upon receipt of donations for the purchase of equipment for the Enrichment Center's <br />Fitness Room from Lee County public or private agencies, civic groups, individuals, <br />church or other not-for-profit organizations. <br />2. Requests may be filed with the LCSS Board at anytime funds are available. To <br />qualify for the initial consideration of matching funds, a matching grant request should be <br />presented by the Director of the LCSS Department. A preliminary determination to <br />award any and all requests (up to the extent of depleting budgeted funds) may be made by <br />the LCSS Board. Final approval for awarding the fiords shall be given by the Board of <br />County Commissioners. <br />i <br />3. The total amount of match that may be requested is equal to the total amount <br />allocated for the Matching Grant Fund. The LCSS Board, with final approval by the <br />Board of County Commissioners, reserves the right to set the amount awarded to the <br />agency at any value less than the total amount. <br />4. Matching amounts from groups or individuals must be in the form of cash or its liquid <br />equivalent. The LCSS Board shall determine eligibility and the total monetary value of <br />the items presented for match. All items and/or cash presented for match must be secured <br />at the time of the request for snatch. <br />5. Funds provided for match by the LCSS Board shall be spent through the county's <br />accounting structure with properly prepared purchase orders, invoicing, and adherence to <br />all established purchasing procedures. <br />6.
