BLo; 17 P!f F 8 :8 fi 21 ' <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />The Lee County Board of Commissioners met on May 17, 1999 in regular meeting and <br />adopted the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Department of Transportation anticipates a July 1999 <br />allocation of $179,233 in Secondary Construction Funds, $133,451 in <br />Secondary Road Trust Funds, and $166,510 in Secondary Road Bond <br />Funds for a total of $479,194 for the forthcoming construction season and <br />a public meeting was held on May 17, 1999 in the Commissioners' Room <br />of the County Government Center in Sanford concerning the <br />expenditures of said funds. <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Department of Transportation retains $22,201 in <br />Secondary Road Construction Funds and $22,367 in Secondary Road Trust <br />Funds for a total of $44,568 to be used for maintenance functions such as <br />spot stabilization, paved road improvements, replacement of small <br />bridge with pipe, and safety projects. <br />WHEREAS, It is proposed to retain $17,542 of Secondary Road Construction Funds, <br />$3,084 of Secondary Road Trust Funds, and $ -0- of the Secondary Road <br />Bond Fund for a total of $20,626 for small projects that may arise during <br />the year such as road additions, property owner participation projects, <br />volunteer fire department drives, county-wide surveys, overdrafts, etc. <br />WHEREAS, It is proposed to utilize $139,490 of the Secondary Road Construction <br />Funds, $108,000 of the Secondary Road Trust Funds, and $166,510 of the <br />Secondary Road Bond Funds for a total of $414,000 to pave 2.30 miles of <br />unpaved road in Lee County during the 1998-99 Fiscal Year. <br />WHEREAS, The North Carolina Department of Transportation proposes to pave the <br />following unpaved roads in Lee County as far as funding, right of way, <br />and environmental review will allow: <br />
