bug 17 PACE 809 <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve the items on the consent agenda, which <br />consisted of the following: <br />• Minutes of the July 12, 1999 regular meeting were approved <br />• Minutes of the July 26, 1999 special meeting were approved <br />• Minutes from the closed sessions of May 4, 1998; September 14, 1998; <br />October 5, 1998; October 19, 1998; and November 2, 1998 were approved <br />• Grant award from the North Carolina Department of Correction for the Lee- <br />Harnett Criminal Justice Program was adopted and execution of documents <br />authorized <br />• Proclamation concerning the Cooperative Extension Service celebration of <br />Heritage Day was approved and authorized (copy attached hereto and made a <br />part of these minutes) <br />• Resolution of appreciation for local law enforcement, rescue, emergency <br />medical services, emergency management, and fire personnel was adopted <br />(copy attached hereto and made a part of these minutes) <br />• Budget amendment for additional Crisis Intervention (CIP) funds in Social <br />Services in the amount of $46,283 was approved and adopted (copy attached <br />hereto and made a part of these minutes) <br />• Permission to reduce charge for patron Interlibrary Loan requests from $3.00 <br />to $2.00 at the Lee County Library was granted <br />• Two vans in the County transit System were declared surplus property and <br />disposition through the state surplus property auction was authorized <br />• Resolution for DOT concerning state road names was adopted (copy attached <br />hereto and made a part of these minutes) <br />• Budget amendment 908/23/99/01 was approved and adopted (copy attached <br />hereto and made a part of these minutes) <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for July, 1999 were approved and authorized (copy <br />attached hereto and made a part of these minutes) <br />• Request from Health Department to use escrow funds to purchase wiring and <br />associated hardware and software to connect computers was approved <br />• Renewal service agreements between Lee County, Harnett County, Johnston <br />County and Moore County for residential services were approved and <br />execution of documents authorized <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Paschal read aloud the Proclamation concerning the Cooperative <br />Extension Service celebration of Heritage Day. <br />002 <br />2 <br />
