0 BOOK J7 PAU 88-46 n <br />t 1..1' J L <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hineks, Matthews, Paschal, and SanIS <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Garner and Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a contract between the County of Lee and Stan Hales, <br />Forestry Consultant to remove trees at the 0. T. Sloan Park. Recreation Director John <br />Payne told the Board that he had discussed with Mr. Hales the removal of approximately <br />50 percent of the trees in two areas at the O. T. Sloan Park for safety purposes, and the <br />development of a soccer field. He told the Board that there had been recent reports of <br />vandalism at the tennis courts and this would improve visibility and security in that area. <br />He also told the Board that if approved, one area near the Boys and Girls Club would be <br />developed as a 150' x 300' soccer field. After some discussion, Commissioner Adams <br />moved to enter into a contract with Stan Hales, Forestry Consultant to remove <br />approximately 50 percent of the trees at the O. T. Sloan Park. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hineks, Matthews, Paschal, and SauIS <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Garner and Reives <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Planning Board concerning <br />an amendment to the Lee County Water Supply Watershed Map. Planner Rod Satterfield <br />told the Board that the Planning Board, by a unanimous vote, recommended that the <br />amendment to the Lee County Water Supply Watershed Map be approved. He told the <br />Board that if approved, the amendment would remove from the watershed water supply <br />protection boundary the areas north of Chris Cole Road and east of South Plank Road, <br />areas east of Hawkins Avenue to the Lee County Industrial Park, and areas north of Deep <br />River Road to Farrell Road. Commissioner Reives joined the meeting at this time. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the amendment to the Lee County Water <br />Supply Watershed Map. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaL11S <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Garner <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered bids for Rehabilitation Grants for the Lee County <br />Community Development Block Grant Project. Planner Karen Jones asked that the <br />Board approve bids and enter into contracts with the following individuals: <br />2 <br />
