025 <br />BGu 17 P~cE 914 <br />• Director Bob Heuts told the Board that Saiden Technologies, Inc. a Japanese company <br />that manufactures adhesives, had expressed an interest in locating in the Lee County <br />Industrial Park. The public hearing had been advertised to hear comments concerning <br />granting incentives to Saiden Technologies, Inc. in the amount of $126,750, which would <br />be used to build a new plant. This would be equal to one-half of the amount of taxes that <br />the company would generate within the first five years of operation. He told the Board <br />that this project would stimulate the local economy, promote business and result in the <br />creation of at least five additional jobs in the County. <br />Economic Development Director Bob Heuts spoke in favor of the incentive <br />package. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the proposed incentive package. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Sauls moved to approve a resolution to grant incentive funds from <br />the County of Lee for the Saiden Technologies, Inc. project and an agreement regarding <br />incentive funds for the project, copies of which are attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />• Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, Commissioner Garner <br />moved to adjourn the meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously and the meeting <br />adjourned in keeping with the motion. <br />Herbert A.
