® 023 <br />BUU 1 7 PduE 9V <br />• 1999 meeting at 8:00 a.m. instead of 3:00 p.m. After some discussion, Commissioner <br />Paschal moved to hold the December 6, 1999 meeting at 8:00 a.m. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a meeting date for the second Commissioners' meeting in <br />December. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that there were five <br />scheduled joint public hearings with the Planning Board scheduled for December. He <br />asked that the Board consider changing the meeting date for the second meeting from <br />December 20th to December 13th. After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved <br />to hold the second Commissioners' meeting in December on Monday, December 13, <br />1999, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of conducting joint public hearings with the Planning <br />Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />• The Board considered an appointment to the Social Services Board. <br />Commissioner Matthews nominated Mrs. Nilda Rivera to serve the unexpired term of <br />Mrs. Barbara Wilson on the Social Services Board. Commissioner Paschal moved to <br />close the nominations. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Matthews moved to approve the nomination of Mrs. Nilda Rivera to the <br />Social Services Board. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered appointments to the Steering Committee to write a new <br />Sanford/Lee County Zoning Ordinance. After much discussion, Commissioner Garner <br />moved for each Commissioner to appoint one individual to the committee and the <br />• remaining three appointments to be voted upon by the entire Board.
