Af) <br />b5GK 17 PIGE 948 <br />• Acceptance of a Hazardous Materials Emergency Planning Grant to <br />Emergency Management in the amount of $1,000 <br />• Acceptance of a Program Agreement revision for Youth Services in the <br />amount of $5,000 <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaUIS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered the addition of a full time Data Entry Jailer position to the <br />Lee County Pay Plan for the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Billy Bryant asked that the Board <br />consider hiring a Data Entry Jailer to process required forms for the holding of federal <br />prisoners. He told the Board that if approved, this position would spend approximately <br />75% in data entry and 25% in jailer related duties. The employee would require a North <br />Carolina Jailer Certification and be hired at Grade 59, with a salary range of 520,547- <br />$28,699. After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to approve the addition <br />of the above position to the Lee County Pay Plan. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />After further discussion, Commissioner Reives moved that the above position be <br />approved at a Grade 60, with a salary range of 521,495-$30,030. Upon a vote, the results <br />were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaulS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a revised County of Lee Safety Policy. Safety and Training <br />Officer Bob Brown told the Board that he had been working on a revised policy for <br />consideration that would be put in booklet form and given to all new employees. After <br />some discussion concerning minor changes, Commissioner Adams moved to approve the <br />new County of Lee Safety Policy.
