BN9 17 PACE 946 0 0 Paschal Hincks Rcives Matthews Sauls Hincks Attorney Hoyle announced that Commissioner Hincks had received four votes and Commissioner Matthews had received three votes, therefore Commissioner Herbert A. Hincks had been elected Chairman for the coming year. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle called for the election of a Vice Chairman for a one-year term. Ballots were passed out and tabulated with the following votes recorded: COMMISSIONER VOTED FOR Adams Paschal Garner Garner Hincks Paschal Matthews Garner Paschal Paschal Reivcs Garner Sauls Paschal Attorney Hoyle announced that Commissioner Garner had received three votes and Commissioner Paschal had received four votes, therefore Commissioner Nathan E. Paschal had been selected Vice Chairman for the coming year. The Board considered a resolution fixing time, date, and place of regular meetings for the upcoming year. Commissioner Hincks moved to hold the first meeting of each month at 8:00 a.m. and the second meeting at 3:00 p.m., with public hearings at 7:00 p.m. Commissioner Matthews made a substitute motion to hold both meetings each month at 3:00 p.m. After some discussion, Commissioner Hincks withdrew his motion. After still further discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to approve the following resolution: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee as follows: SECTION I : The Board of Commissioners shall hold a regular meeting on the first and third Monday of each month. If the regular meeting day is a holiday on which County offices are closed, the meeting shall be held on the next business day or such succeeding day as may be specified in the motion adjourning the immediately preceding regular meeting. SECTION 2: Regular meetings shall be held in the Commissioners' Room, I" Floor, Lee County Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina.
