Minutes from the September 12, 2017 Joint Interlocal Meeting <br />- Agreement for Additional State Revenue for STD Prevention in the Communicable <br />Disease Program <br />- Agreement for Additional Federal Revenue for Breast and Cervical Cancer Program <br />Request to Apply for National Association of County and City Health Officials Grant <br />Funding <br />Request to Apply for the NC Disposal Initiative Grant <br />Request to utilize volunteer services at the animal shelter <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Dodson, Oldham, Reives, Sharpe, Sloan <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Knecht <br />The Chair ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />III. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. A public hearing for the 2019 Community Transportation Grant Application <br />duly advertised for this date and time was held. Senior Services Director Debbie <br />Davidson provided an overview of the grant request consisting of the following <br />funding levels: <br />o The Administrative portion is $191,011.00 and requires a 15% local match <br />which is $28,652.00. These funds cover 85% of the salary for the Lee County <br />Transit System Coordinator, and a portion of the administrative salaries of 3 <br />other staff members and benefits, travel, general office supplies, space <br />rental, technology supplies, and indirect cost for the administration of the <br />system. Also included in this request is 85% reimbursement for vehicle <br />insurance on 18 vehicles. <br />o The Capital request is $313,056.00 which requires a 10% local match of <br />$31,306.00 . These funds cover one replacement of a 25 foot LTV Lift <br />Equipped Vehicle, 4 station lift and 4 replacement 20 foot LTV Lift Equipped <br />Vehicles, along with one television and DVD player for training purposes. <br />At this time, Chair Dalrymple opened the public hearing. <br />The following spoke in favor of the 2019 Community Transportation Program <br />Grant Application: <br />Keith Clark, 306 Village Drive, Sanford, NC <br />Bob Finch, 1414 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC <br />No one spoke in opposition of the grant application. <br />Chair Dalrymple declared the public hearing closed. <br />Page 217 <br />
