at-;ox V P cF 970 013 <br />MINUTES OFT HE JOINT PUBLIC HEARING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />AND TH E <br />LEE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD <br />JANUARI' 20, 2000 <br />#*#***%k>k**#**#**~k*M#***~k***#*~~k%k%k#****#**##:k*###****~k ~k=k*~k**~k#*,k:k*****~k** <br />A joint meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina and members of the Lee County Planning Board, convened at 7:00 p.m. <br />in Courtroom #4 at the old Lee County Courthouse, 1408 S. Horner Blvd., Sanford, <br />North Carolina. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, Herbert A. Hincks, <br />Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Rcives, and John 1. SaUIS. <br />Commissioner F. Hubert Garner was excused from the meeting. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following hearings took place. <br />Planner Althea Thompson outlined the first petition by Mrs. Bert Matthews, for <br />Mrs. Frances H. Honeycutt, to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to <br />Residential Restricted District, 1.81 acres of land at 61 Wildlife Road and 79 Wildlife <br />Road. <br />Mrs. Matthews spoke in favor of the petition for Mrs. Frances Honeycutt. She <br />told the Board's that two single-family site built homes currently occupy this property. <br />The property owner wishes to subdivide the property to allow each home to have its own <br />lot, but is unable to do so under the current Residential Agricultural Zoning regulations. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the rezoning request. <br />Mrs. Thompson outlined the second rezoning petition by Randall Godfrey and <br />Larry Rives to rezone from Residential Agricultural District to Highway Commercial <br />Conditional Use District, .927 acres of land at the corner of Bruce Coggins Road and <br />"tramway Road for the location of an auto body shop and sales. Clerk to the Board <br />Gaynell Lee administered the oath to individuals wishing to speak in favor of the <br />rezoning request. Attorney Ed Bain from Lillington represented Mr. Godfrey and Mr. <br />Rives. The following individuals spoke in favor of the rezoning request: <br />Ron Brooks <br />2921 Greenbrier Drive <br />Paul Utley <br />350 Labador Lane <br />Susan Stone <br />3172 Tramway Road <br />Jimmy Holt <br />863 Cox Maddox Road <br />
