Commissioner Garner moved to defer consideration on this matter until the next meeting on February 21, 2000. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Gamer, Matthews, and Sauk Nay: Hincks, Paschal, and Reives The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a four to three vote. The Board considered matters relating to the Emergency Management Office. Emergency Management Director Warren Lee asked that the Board accept the donation of twenty (20) propane gas space heaters and five (5) generators from Lowe's Flome Centers, Inc. Commissioner Garner moved to accept the above items. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SanIS Nay: None The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The Board considered a resolution of appreciation to Lowe's Home Centers, Inc. for their donation of twenty heaters and five generators to the Emergency Management Office. Commissioner SaL115 moved to approve a resolution of appreciation, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Mr. Lee asked that the Board approve the acceptance of a donation of $3,000 from Carolina Power and Light Company that will be used to purchase a trailer to store and transport emergency shelter supplies. Commissioner Garner moved to accept the above donation.
