0 BON, 17 PAGE 976 003 <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted by a five to two vote. <br />Ms. Thompson outlined the recommendation of the Planning Board for a petition <br />by James R. Brafford, State Director of the Sanford Area Home Builders Association to <br />amend the Lee County Zoning Ordinance. Mr. Braff"ord had submitted a request for an <br />amendment to the lot to depth ratio regulation asking that this regulation not be applied <br />to minor subdivisions. This requirement requires lots more than 400 feet in depth to have <br />more than 100 feet of road frontage. Commissioner Garner moved to accept the <br />recommendation of the Planning Board to amend the Lee County Zoning Ordinance to <br />exclude this from minor subdivisions, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by <br />this reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Flincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaL11S <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Ms. Thompson outlined the recommendation of the Planning Board for a petition <br />by the Lee County Economic Development Corporation (LCEDC) for an amendment to <br />the height regulations in the Light Industrial, Heavy Industrial, and Highway <br />Commercial zoning districts, as required in the Lee County Zoning Ordinance. The <br />LCEDC is seeking to increase the maximum height of buildings in the above mentioned <br />zoning districts to reflect the City of Sanford's height requirement standards which are <br />forty (40) feet. Commissioner Adams moved to approve the recommendation of the <br />Planning Board to approve this text amendment to the Lee County Zoning Ordinance, a <br />copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Ms. Thompson presented a preliminary plat for Plank Road Estates Subdivision <br />that is located on South Plank Road in the West Pocket Township. Commissioner <br />Paschal moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board to approve this <br />preliminary plat. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SaulS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />3 <br />
