17 F~G4004 ® 009 <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a draft of an Interlocal Agreement between the Town of <br />Broadway and the County of Lee for legal services of County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. <br />After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to approve an Interlocal Agreement <br />for Legal Services between the Town of Broadway and the County of Lee. Upon a vote, <br />the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board took a ten-minute break at this time. Upon returning with all members <br />present, the meeting resumed. <br />The Board discussed the Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) for 2000/2001- <br />2004/2005. County Manager William Cowan presented the five-year Capital <br />Improvements Program as presented by the various departments and agencies that depend <br />on the Lee County Board of Commissioners for funding. He told the Board that the total <br />project needs as outlined by the various departments and agencies in the County for the <br />five-year period from 2000-2005 are $89,670,947. The total requested appropriations for <br />FY 2000-2001 are S30,949,450, and the total recommended appropriations for FY 2000- <br />2001 are $22,031,310. Mr. Cowan presented the document to the Board as a working <br />and planning document and asked that the Board review the project description forms, <br />project financial forms, and request additional information that might be necessary to <br />review and prioritize the projects. He asked that the Board schedule a public hearing for <br />March 20, 2000, at 7:00 p.m. to hear comments from the general public concerning the <br />FY 2000-2005 Capital Improvements Plan. After some discussion, Chairnian Hincks <br />moved to schedule a public hearing for 7:00 p.m. on March 20, 2000. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and SarIIS <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to approve a proclamation declaring April 1, 2000 <br />as Census Day in Lee County, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />9 <br />
