BOOK IS PACE 06 0 0 G <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a contract between the Town of Broadway and the County <br />of Lee for legal services of County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. Mr. Hoyle told the Board that <br />the Town of Broadway had voted three to two to approve a contract for his legal services <br />at their last meeting. lie told the Board that two of the Broadway Commissioners had <br />concerns about a possible conflict of interest if a dispute were to arise between the town <br />and County while both were represented by Mr. Hoyle. He further told the Board that he <br />recommended the County terminate the agreement recently approved by the Broadway <br />board. After some discussion, Commissioner Paschal moved to approve a resolution that <br />the Interlocal Agreement between the County of Lee and the Town of Broadway, dated <br />March 13, 2000 which authorized the County Attorney to function also as town attorney, <br />be hereby terminated effective March 20, 2000. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives discussed the County of Lee and the City of Sanford <br />working together in a possible joint partnership involving the city golf course. After <br />some discussion, Commissioner Hincks moved for Commissioner Paschal, who serves on <br />the Parks and Recreation Commission, to discuss this matter with that Board at their next <br />meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Broadway Planning Board. <br />Chairman Hincks nominated Jerry Bradley to serve as Lee County's extraterritorial <br />jurisdiction representative on the Broadway Planning Board. Commissioner Reives <br />moved to accept the nomination by acclamation.
