® Bou 18 PAeE 04 ® 0 0 4 <br />The Board considered a request from the Lee Soil & Water Conservation District <br />Office to purchase a metal storage building to be located at the new Agribusiness Center. <br />Mike Gaster, Chairman of the Soil & Water Conservation Board told the Board that the <br />Lee Soil & Water Conservation District Office was requesting approval to purchase a 23' <br />x 30' metal storage building, including grading, concrete pad and installation, for <br />approximately S10,000. Mr. Gaster told the Board that the Soil & Water Office currently <br />has 316 sq. feet of storage space but will only have 70 sq. feet of storage space in the new <br />Agribusiness Center. He gave a detailed description of various items that would be <br />stored in the building. After some discussion, Commissioner Garner moved to approve <br />the purchase of a 23' x 30' metal storage building from the project contingency budget. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The Board considered a list of Lee County employees to be reimbursed for <br />working during the recent winter storm. Emergency Management Director Warren Lee <br />told the Board that at the February 7, 2000 meeting, the Board approved a <br />recommendation from the County Manager to excuse employees from work due to the <br />snow storm in January and to pay certain employees that worked due to the extraordinary <br />event. The Board requested that a list of employees with compensation be presented for <br />their approval. Mr. Lee provided a list of employees that were eligible for reimbursable <br />overtime labor expenses and told the Board that a total of 54,72299 was being requested <br />for exempt status employees, $2,749.21 for non-exempt status employees, $1,011.15 for <br />private vehicle usage, and a total of 534.5 hours of compensatory time for 28 employees. <br />After sonic discussion, Commissioner Adams moved to approve the list of Lee County <br />employees for reimbursement, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that lie had requested that <br />Human Resource Director Patsy Rogers obtain bids for a reclassification study of all Lee <br />County employees.
