coy <br />BUN JS PACE 35 <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has established a permanent listing system under which <br />the Assessor is responsible for listing all real property on the abstracts and tax records <br />each year in the name of the owner as of the day the property is to be listed under the <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS, at the present time, there are 1,629 parcels of property in which <br />there are undivided interests in said real property owned by tenants in common which <br />are listed separately and which necessitate 2,675 separate tax bills to be mailed to the <br />owners of the undivided interests; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires that the Assessor follow a <br />policy whereby all real property held by tenants in common shall be listed in the names <br />of all the owners; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of <br />Lee County that they desire that the Assessor not give his approval to allow undivided <br />interests in real property owned by tenants in common to be listed by the respective <br />owners in accordance with their respective undivided interests, but on the other hand, <br />that he require that all real property held by tenants in common be listed in the names of <br />all the owners. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follow: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, 1-Iincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Tax Administrator Roger Kelley gave the Board an update on the upcoming <br />reevaluation process. No action was taken on the matter. <br />The Board considered additional parking spaces at the new Agribusiness Center. <br />Cooperative Extension Director John Hall asked the Board to approve twenty-seven <br />additional parking spaces at the new Agribusiness Center. He told the Board that the <br />contractor had quoted a price of 522,500 for grading, paving and striping for the <br />additional spaces. After some discussion, Commissioner Gamer moved to approve the <br />addition of twenty-seven parking spaces at the new Agribusiness Center at a cost of <br />522,500, to be taken from the project contingency budget. Upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />4 <br />
