BOCK 18 PACE <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MAY 1, 2000 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State <br />of North Carolina, convened at 8:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Room, 106 Hillerest <br />Drive, Sanford, North Carolina. Commissioners present were W. Chad Adams, F. Hubert <br />Garner, Herbert A. Hincks, Bertha L. Matthews, Nathan E. Paschal, Robert T. Reives, <br />and John 1. Sauls. <br />Chairman Hincks presided and the following business was transacted. <br />Charles Jeffries led the pledge of allegiance. <br />The Board considered additional agenda items. County Attorney K. R. Hoyle <br />asked that the Board consider a License Agreement between Accenthealth and the <br />County of Lee to place a satellite dish on top of the Lee County Government Center. <br />Commissioner Garner asked that the Board consider a resolution relating to the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Commissioner Adams moved to add the <br />above items to the agenda. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to approve the consent agenda that consisted of the <br />following items: <br />• Minutes of the April 17, 2000 regular meeting <br />• FY 2000-2001 pay plan for Lee-Harnett Mental Health <br />• FY 2000-2001 Home and Community Care Block Grant for Older Adults <br />• Request from the General Robert E. Lee Camp # 803 to fly the First National <br />Confederate Flag at the courthouse on May 10, 2000 <br />• Proclamation to declare the week of May 7-13, 2000 as "Small Business <br />Week" in Lee County (copy attached) <br />• FY 2000-2001 Office of Juvenile Justice Program Agreement <br />
