Brown (copy attached) <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Mr. Richard Hearn appeared before the Board and expressed his opposition to <br />the proposed closing of Brickyard Road. No action was taken on the matter. <br />Commissioner Garner asked that the Board consider adding an additional item <br />to the agenda concerning a letter of support for the Healthy Carolinians Program <br />(LeeCAN). Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, and Reives <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Sauls <br />The Chaimtan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Safety and Training Officer Bob Brown asked that the Board consider adopting <br />a Vehicle Management Policy. After much discussion, Commissioner Reives moved to <br />table the matter. Mr. Brown was asked to check with department heads to see how they <br />are currently keeping checks on county vehicles. After still further discussion, <br />Commissioner Reives withdrew his motion to table the matter. No action was taken on <br />the matter. <br />The Board considered surplus items to be auctioned. Public Works Director <br />Kenny Cole told the Board that the City of Sanford and Lee County will hold their <br />annual auction on Saturday, June 3, 2000, at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Cole presented a list of <br />items to be auctioned and asked that the Board declare the items surplus. <br />Commissioner Reives moved to declare the presented items surplus for the June 3, <br />2000 auction.
