Dr. Marvin <br />Joyner told the Board that the College was requesting an additional $30,000 to purchase <br />the corporate hangar at the old Sanford-Lee County Airport. He told the Board that a <br />recent appraisal of the hangar placed the value in the range of $28,000-$32,000 and that <br />the College has entered into an agreement with the Airport Authority to purchase the <br />hangar for 530,000. Commissioner Reives moved to approve an additional $30,000 to <br />the Capital Outlay line item for Central Carolina Community College. Upon a vote, the <br />result were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Dr. Joyner gave the Board an overview of capital funds that will be available to <br />the College if the statewide bond referendum is approved this fall. No action was taken <br />on the matter. <br />The Board considered a recommendation from the Planning Board. Planner <br />Althea Thompson told the Board that the Plamring Board recommended approval of the <br />rezoning petition by Joseph Gregory Stone to rezone fi-om Residential Restricted District <br />to Residential Agricultural District, approximately 1.89 acres of land east of Forestwood <br />Park Road and west of US Highway 421 North. After sonic discussion, Commissioner <br />Adams moved to approve the recommendation of the Planning Board. County Manager William Cowan told the Board that Sheriff Bryant was <br />requesting approval to purchase a 4 x 4 Explorer at a cost of 522,417 that will be used by <br />the Domestic Violence Officer. A grant in the amount of $18,000 has been received and <br />will be used toward the purchase of this vehicle, with the remainder of fiords coming <br />from their current budget. Commissioner Reives moved to approve the purchase of a <br />new vehicle for the Sheriff's Department in the amount of $22,417. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />2 <br />
