007 <br />Boox 18 PacE 123 <br />discussed the CDBG Program with the Board and told them that each year the State <br />receives approximately S40 million dollars for CDBG programs. Lee County could <br />apply for up to 5750,000 for water, sewer, and street extensions. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to go into a public hearing. Upon a vote, the <br />results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Flineks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Chip Green and Bob Hearts spoke in favor of the grant. <br />No one spoke in opposition to the grant. <br />Chairman Hincks closed the public hearing. <br />Commissioner Adams moved to go into closed session to discuss matters <br />relating to the expansion of industries in Lee County. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />After completing business in closed session, Commissioner Garner moved to go <br />out of the closed session. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Flincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Sauls moved to hold public hearings at the July 10, 2000 meeting <br />to consider incentive agreements with Imperial Freezer and Wyeth Lederle. Upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Garner, Hincks, Matthews, Paschal, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />The Chainnan ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />Commissioner Garner moved to open the Water and Sewer District No. I <br />meeting.
