F OX 19 FAKE 33 <br />The board considered bids for meters for the Phase II Water Project. Tim <br />Carpenter, Project Manager with Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates told the board that the <br />following bids had been received: <br />Hughes Supply $ 49,599.85 (Hersey) <br />U.S. Filter $54,192.85 (Neptune) <br />Carolina Meters $64,728.00 (Badger) <br />He told the board that Hobbs, Upchurch & Associates recommended that the low bid from <br />Hughes Supply be approved. Mr. Carpenter also told the board that Hughes Supply would <br />supply Hersey Meters, which is consistent with the meters currently stocked for use by the <br />Lee County Water & Sewer District. After some discussion, Commissioner Adams moved <br />to accept the low bid of $49,599.85 from Hughes Supply. Upon a vote, the results were as <br />follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />There being no further business to come before the governing body of the Lee <br />County Water and Sewer District No. 1, Chairman Hincks moved to adjourn the Water and <br />Sewer District No. 1 meeting. Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Adams, Hincks, Lemmond, Matthews, Reives, and Sauls <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Paschal <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously, and the meeting <br />adjourned in keeping with the motion. <br />ierbert A.
